The Human Rights Remedy App

 Hello good readers

You haven't heard from me since July. I have not been writing on contemporary human rights matters. This is because I have been working on developing a phone application in the area of human rights.

I am glad to announce to you that I have made the Human Rights Remedy mobile phone application. Compatible on both android and IOS devices. Before the year ends, depending on the availability of funds, the application will be available on Google playstore.

Among its functions are:

1. An option where you can access contacts of lawyers, per province in Zimbabwe. Every law firm registered and operating in Zimbabwe is available.

2. An option where you can access contacts of police across the country. Every police post, rural or urban is available. Again, its classified per province.

3. There is a section where you get to know your rights, as provided for in the Constitution of Zimbabwe and other pieces of legislation. It has sections where you get to be informed what to do when these rights have been violated.

4. There is a section where you can access contacts and addresses of organizations that can assist you for free with regards to how you can get a remedy. They offer free services.

5. There is a section/ a function which assists you with what you can say when arrested or interacting with the police. It informs you of what to say.

6. Another function, the Emergency Services, assists you when you comprehend an imminent threat to your rights. When you feel in danger, with two clicks, the Emergency Services assists you with quickly alerting any selected contacts with a template message such as "Im in danger".

7. It also has contacts of courts across Zimbabwe. From Magistrates, to the Constitutional court.

Our upgrade will have a recording option for evidentiary purposes. It will also have a location update option.
